Over 100 Products to be showcased at ‘Vanuatu Made’ Market Day 2022

The 4th edition of the ‘Vanuatu Made’ Market Day event is set for 28th to the 30th of September, with already 50 businesses registered to participate and over 100 products to be showcased.

The occasion is intended to bring together all producers and manufacturers to showcase and promote their products, allow market access and educate consumers on what is available locally produced.

This year the theme for the event will be “Beyond the pandemic: Promoting our Vanuatu Made brand through ICT.”

In the spirit of this theme the 3-day event will be jointly organised with ICT4TRADE and will be distinct from the past market day events as it will promote e-Commerce platforms such as Digicel, Vodafone, Maua and Salem Nomo.

“We have invited many businesses to participate in the event. There are no charges.

“The criteria are that products are locally produced,” said a representative of Vanuatu Made, Tony Tamata.

“50 businesses have already registered to participate, we expect the number to increase before the date of the event.

“At present, there are around seven businesses who part of the Vanuatu Made brand and some have many products part of the brand, so over 100 Vanuatu Made brand products will be showcased at the event.”

The occasion will have live music, a string band competition, a fashion show event where local creators can show of their designs, a schools poem competition and other activities.
